A Mediterranean oasis in the heart of Brussels

Ce projet a été conçu pour un couple de voyageurs souhaitant créer une oasis méditerranéenne au cœur d’une Bruxelles grisonnante. L’aménagement s’articule autour d’un bassin d’inspiration mauresque tapissé de carreaux en céramique, qui apporte à la fois fraîcheur, rythme et élégance à l’espace.
L’intimité de la terrasse est assurée par un claustra sur mesure, pensé et dessiné comme un moucharabieh moderne, où les motifs contemporains dialoguent avec la lumière et l’ombre, créant une ambiance graphique et protectrice.
Le sol, volontairement minéral, gagne en chaleur grâce à l’intégration d’un tapis aux influences nord-africaines, qui invite au confort et à la détente. Séléctionnés par le paysagiste, des végétaux exotiques, plantés dans des pots en céramique colorée et chatoyante, apportent vivacité et exotisme, renforçant le dépaysement du patio.
Transats et poufs complètent l’ensemble, offrant un coin de paresse et de contemplation, où l’on peut profiter pleinement du cadre sensoriel et raffiné de cette petite oasis urbaine.
This project was designed for a couple of travelers wishing to create a Mediterranean oasis in the heart of a grey Brussels. The layout revolves around a Moorish-inspired pool lined with ceramic tiles, bringing freshness, rhythm, and elegance to the space.
The privacy of the terrace is ensured by a custom-made claustra, designed as a modern mashrabiya, where contemporary patterns interact with light and shadow, creating a graphic and protective atmosphere.
The deliberately mineral floor gains warmth through the integration of a rug with North African influences, inviting comfort and relaxation. Selected by the landscape designer, exotic plants, placed in colorful and vibrant ceramic pots, bring liveliness and a sense of escape, reinforcing the exotic character of the patio.
Sun loungers and poufs complete the setting, offering a space for relaxation and contemplation, where one can fully enjoy the sensory and refined atmosphere of this small urban oasis.
