Transforming an extra large suburban house

The original structure is a four-facade villa of 420 m² on a plot of 1,600 m². Due to its very large footprint, the house offered spaces poorly suited to family living. In particular, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was insufficient to meet the residents' desired comfort level.
The interior redesign project therefore set out to achieve three main objectives:
- Complete redesign of the villa's interior spaces to optimize the quality of the ground-floor rooms and create bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors.
- Creation of an independent duplex apartment, integrated into the villa.
- Optimization of the thermal comfort of all walls, floors, and ceilings.
Openings of varying sizes were created to maximize natural light. The interiors of this XXL home were thus optimized to better communicate with one another, and the garden is more strongly connected to the villa.
