Créer un jardin provençal authentique et pittoresque
Le jardin a été entièrement revisité, déconstruit et reconstruit. Le budget a déterminé les axes de la conception et les techniques de rénovation du lieu. Par exemple, le paysagiste a opté pour une revalorisation de l'existant afin de limiter les frais et ainsi donner du cachet à cette cour intérieure végétalisée.
Après avoir cerné les envies des propriétaires et étudié le jardin existant, le paysagiste a déterminé différentes orientations du projet :
- Valoriser au maximum l'existant.
- Créer de nouveaux espaces en jouant sur les volumes pour marquer la profondeur du lieu.
Une atmosphère typiquement provençal
Le paysagiste a retravaillé les lignes en améliorant la lecture de l’ensemble de la cour intérieure (esthétique, simple, logique et fonctionnelle).
La végétation donne du relief et du dynamisme à la mise en scène. Le paysagiste associe une végétation résistante au milieu sec comme un couvre-sol pour sublimer l'existant. Les couleurs donnent le ton pour une atmosphère typiquement provençal.
En jouant sur les volumes, le lieu est découpé entre espaces pleins et espaces vides pour en révéler toute la profondeur.
Le travail réalisé par le paysagiste et l'équipe de jardiniers permet :
- Rééquilibrer les espaces entre eux.
- Une unité visuelle entre la maison et le reste du jardin est ainsi créée.
- Le sol a été retravaillé pour structurer visuellement l'espace et lui rendre toute sa fonctionnalité.
- La terrasse donne ainsi directement sur le jardin et la piscine.
- Un pêle-mêle végétal borde murs et murets de pierres sèches. Il structure et limite également tout débordement végétal.
- L'entretien est facilité par le choix d'essence économe en eau.
Quant à la piscine, le paysagiste l'intègre parfaitement en apportant une note minérale et une zone de fraîcheur au nouveau jardin.

Creating an authentic and picturesque Provençal garden
The garden was completely revisited, deconstructed and rebuilt. The budget determined the design approach and the renovation techniques. For example, the landscape designer chose to enhance what already existed in order to limit costs and give character to this green inner courtyard.
After identifying the owners' wishes and studying the existing garden, the landscape designer established several project orientations:
- Maximise the potential of what already exists.
- Create new spaces by playing with volumes to highlight the depth of the space.
A typically Provençal atmosphere
The landscape designer reworked the lines to improve the overall readability of the inner courtyard (aesthetic, simple, logical and functional).
The vegetation adds depth and dynamism to the setting. The landscape designer combines drought-resistant plants as ground cover to enhance what is already there. The colours set the tone for a typically Provençal atmosphere.
By playing with volumes, the space is divided between filled and empty areas to reveal its full depth.
The work carried out by the landscape designer and the team of gardeners allows:
- Rebalancing the spaces in relation to one another.
- A visual unity between the house and the rest of the garden is thus created.
- The ground was reworked to visually structure the space and restore its full functionality.
- The terrace now opens directly onto the garden and the swimming pool.
- A mixed planting borders the walls and low dry-stone walls. It also structures and contains any overgrowth.
- Maintenance is made easier by the choice of water-efficient species.
As for the swimming pool, the landscape designer integrates it perfectly, bringing a mineral touch and a cool zone to the new garden.
